Items
There are 5 kinds of items, weapons, pets, cloaks, hats and dofuses. Each character may wear only one item of each category. Items all give some kind of buff to the wearer except for the case of weapons which work in a little different way.
Weapons
- Weapons cost AP to use, and deal a certain amount of damage of a specific element which can be boosted by items, just like spells.
- All weapons cost 150 kamas and only differ in kind, element and damage versus initiative. The higher damage bonus, the more initiative penalty.
- Carrying a weapon does not increase damage of spells and vice versa.
- It is usually a good idea to either use a weapon or getting a damage spell but not both. However sometimes you want to use a weapon for melee and a spell for range or the other way around. Weapons can also play an important role when finetuning your initiative.
- Bows and wands have range, but limited to lines as seen below. All other weapons are melee.
- Hammers hit 4 tiles, staffs 3. Daggers, shovels, swords, bows and wands hit a single tile.
